Advice?
okokokokok so im sorry ive been asking TONS of questions but I really dont want this colony to die. So if you dont know I have a carpender ant colony with 7-8 workers. They were in a test tube set up, but it got moldy so I moved them into a new one three weeks ago. Then two weeks ago I connected it to a AC test tube portal with a sugar water test tube. THEN the tube that I moved them into three weeks ago got really, really moldy and they were moving away from the cotton so I tried moving them into a new test tube TWICE but they still havent moved. Right now I have the moldy test tube connected to the clean test tube via some tape (I left some holes for air) wiht food in the new test tube. I am just kinda confused as to what to do, so some advice would be helpfull! Thanks!

Hi!
If you have access to a heating cable/mat, you could just heat the new tube. ( maybe ? )

Another method, Have your workers been exploring the new tube much? You could place a drop of honey water on tinfoil in the new tube to entice them to go there...

Re: Advice?
I would just dump them into the new one. Sometimes ants also need a good healthy push.
Since the testtubes are connected already, It should be easy to just dump them into the new and Clean testtube.

Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
