Found a camponotus queen yesterday. Just know her genus, but not her species. Found her during 100° degree weather, gave her some honey and water. Transfered her to a test tube as soon as I was able too.
My question is... any tips on keeping camponotus queens.

Most Camponotus queens are fully claustral so you don't need to feed her until her first workers arrive.

Re: Found componotus queen.
Keep her nice and dry but of course in a normal test tube. No disturbances and if possible check once per week to see the progress or behaviour. Also pictures are always welcome.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
