she just can't be camponotus

the cocoons are 5 mm long, there are so many cocoons even though camponotus grows slow. it only took 3-4 week for eggs to cocoons. I was so damn sure she was camponotus compressus. pls help telling me what species is she she is healthy and active. cotton is little bit moldy and water is there she is a formicanae I know that. pls pls help

She's a Camponotus, some Camponotus species are quite small. Also, tropical species grow much faster than temperate species.

maybe. I don't know. I live in India and I have only seen c. compressus. I feel like three weeks from egg to cocoons is quite fast and also the cocoons size is too small. do you Know about any camponotus that are this small and live in India it would make sense that they are nanitics so they are small

all of the research I have done so far says it is a camponotus. maybe I just need to wait for the workers.

The nanitics are always smaller than the rest.

Looks to be camponotus. I'm not familiar with non-Canadian species, but most species' nanitics are rather small. Most tropical genera will develop faster as well.
