MY QUEEN ANT DIED /OR KILLED

My queen ant was dead when i found it it was put outside. Im not sure if she died or was killed by ant colony because queen was without head any ideas, should i marge the rest of the smal colony(10) with other new queen same specie? Help!!!

Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
