Help! I have to make a decision!

I will make a wooden nest to begin with. I have two pieces of wood, both are a bit two short. Can i combine them to make a big ant hybrid nest?

You can do that or you can make them separate then attach them with tubing. And if you want you can do a bit of redesigning, for example instead of a lid you can have an outworld or instead of it being vertical you can make it horizontal.
