Sounds great! I have a feeling that this problem is over. Hopefully.

Yeah so far there were no further issues and the queen seems to be still alive. I do have to try and empty the rest of their old cork nest tho. I may do a stream about this but I don't know yet.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Ok, so here is an update on the colony and I first thought the queen may be dead, because I would a big body part that resembled the queens abdomen / gaster. But then I found the queen while trying to shake out some of the remaining workers. The colony seems to be loving the dry cork nest but there is mold in it so I have to clean that out for sure.

Anyway here are the two videos on the colony.

Don't worry about the big abdomen. They are a polymorphic species so that must be a full replete. I think the problems over, she seems fine, healthy and taken care of. I watch your videos, as you know, so unless the problem occurs again, I don't think I'll need an update on this topic.

;)
Yeah so far I haven't seen any big body parts like that. I did know they are polymorphic but didn't think that there are workers reaching queen size. ;)
