The gaster should be quite small for a queen if it is semi-claustral

Do you know which genus she is?

If you leave her tube in a foraging arena with some sort of substrate (i.e. coconut fiber), she can seal the tube off if she is claustral, or leave an opening if she needs to forage. This way, you can feed her without stressing her out or making it difficult for her to keep the tube clean.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
