Hey guys!I was browsing the forum when I decided I wanted to know how every bodies colony's were doing. So here we are!My colonies are fine.
My Camponotous Sayi colony is amazing. They have grown maybe another 10-20 workers since I've gotten them. The queen is nice and healthy and is still quite shy.
Queen Bubble-head my queen harvester ant is well and is going to be spending a month in my closet to see if she'll lay some eggs.(I've had her for a year and she hasn't laid any eggs. It's crazy)Anyway she'll be good.

Thats it for my colonies let me know how your's are! I wish you ant-luck!

I have 7 colonies (2 camponotus, 1 lasius, 2 formica, 1 crematogaster and 1 tetramorium) with 0 to 11 workers, most of them are doing fine with plenty of brood.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

My messor barbarus colony looks fine and healthy and activ. They stayed in my house and not in the cellar over the winter. From time to time I checked if the queen was still alive and I kept seeing her walking around in the nest. I may have even spoted a new female queen that isn't fully evolved yet. However I will have to verify this. They still eat their honey melon seeds and also the mealworms I throw in from time to time. They are getting really good at killing / swarming them.

My two Lasius Niger colonies that I got are out of hibernation and got half a mealworm each. Will have to remove it from the testtube soon. ;)
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Currently not keeping any ants anymore.
