I recently caught a queen who is in a test tube set up. She currently has 3 eggs. I was curious if these species need to hibernate. Also would gladly take any other advice. First time with this species. She was caught in northeast Florida not sure if that changes anything.

Hi Strays,

First of all congratulations on capturing your queen. Your species doesn't really hibernate, but likely will take it easy in the colder months. Generally shifting down a gear, as food will be less available in those months.
