Disaster with my thatcher ant colony
So the oldest child went running by, and due to poor placement of a testtube, snagged the formacarium with her arm, throwing it to the ground. The colony has been going strong now for 2 years, and was just coming out of hibernation. I spent 45 minutes on the floor with cotton balls collecting eggs, workers, and larva. My main concern is possible colony collapse from this. I recovered most of the workers, and the queen, have found maybe a dozen dead workers and a few smashed larva...I also cant seem to located the queen in the setup now...any advice would be appreciated.

So, strangely my colony is more active now, and more productive...they're actually now fairly aggressive foragers, before they used to just sort of hang out.
