Hello all, Do Camponotus aeneopilosus (Golden tailed sugar ant) need to hibernate? I am not sure because they are from Australia and I am not certain on if they would have a hibernation season there or not.

I suspect they do, or at least take it 'easy' in the winter months. There isn't much information on the behaviour of these ants online. There are a number of YouTube clips on them, so you might want to study those.

Also you might find our Camponotus Crew thread interesting to exchange experiences with fellow antkeepers. (see signature)
