Hello,

My ants have been back from hibernation since the end of february, today I saw this in their tube I'm very confused, aren't eggs tiny? This thing must be 4-5mm long! (it wasn't here for more than a few hours) Does someone know what happened?

(it's from the queen I talked about here https://forum.AntsCanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=15774&p=63947#p63947)

I'm not the most experienced person on earth, but maybe it is the larvae or pupae, which comes after the egg stage. If you search up 'ant pupae' it does look quite similar..?
