Hibernating Ant Problem
Hello! I have a Camponotus Laevigatus ant colony currently hibernating but I have noticed that their test tube is all dried out. Will the ants be able to reach the new test tube I gave them or should I take them out early from their hibernation? Or is it possible to get them to move out otherwise?

Re: Hibernating Ant Problem
Hello Phantom864, My first question would be where you live, but i'm going to guess that you live somewhere where you should hibernate them. So when you take them out of hibernation, the first thing you should do is attach another test tube with water, they might not move over but they will at least have water. If you want them to move over, you could cover the new test tube so as to make it dark, and leave the other one open to light. They should want to move to the darker area, but if it seems they don't want to, you should just over both. Hope this works for you.
