Ants not eating food or exploring
I have a young Tetramorium colony who I have atatched to an AC Test tube Portal for feeding, however, they never wander out, I keep my eye on them and they never touch the food we provide for them, it's been a while since they have accepted and visibly eaten food, however there is lots of brood, so far there are 9 workers and the queen along with lots of larvae and pupa but no eggs. I have porvided lots of different types of protein but none seem to be accepted including precrushed feeder mealworms. If anyone has any suggestions please leave them!

Re: Ants not eating food or exploring
During this time of the year some temperature drops and ants go into hibernation. its best to leave them alone for a while but regularly check for updates. As the temperature increases your ants will be more active.
Currently housing Solenopsis Molesta and Brachymyrmex patagonicus.
