Hello,
Just purchased a Myrmecia Pyriformis Queen, I'm aware of their very powerful sting and agression. I was wondering if I could get any tips on successfully looking after this ant species, as I know they require a lot of time and patience. Is it best to cover the outworld and keep her in the dark or cover the test tube and let her wander around outside when she wants to? I have plans of having a water and Nectar feeders in the setup to limit disturbing her. Anything else I should prepare for? Any help will be useful.
P.S. I have also recently found a Queen Myrmecia Chrysogaster, so I'm assuming the same requirements apply.
Cheers, ShadowNova

Re: Myrmecia Pyriformis Help!
I'd keep the test tube covered in the outworld, and not worry about covering the outworld. Just try and disturb her as little as possible and keep the proteins up.
Do you have any pics of your Myrmecia chrysogaster queen? That's a really nice species.
