How to tell when hydration sponges are full.

I Have an omni nest vertical large and wondered if anyone else has one and can help.

I wanted to know how you know when the hydration sponges are full?

Do you go by the amount of water put in I have dropper and syringe with volume measurements I can use.

I would say if you keep adding water, at some point the water comes out on the top and that should be more than enough. Maybe suck up some excess water if you think it's too much.
