Messors attacking each other.

Just noticed strange behavior with my ants. They were running around with their punchers wide open and attacking each other but, not a complete attack. Like a practice attack. Anyone know why or has seen this before. I gave them some seeds thinking maybe they were hungry.

It's been a few days and they are all calm. Don't know what their trip was.

I kept Messor Barbarus before and the only occasion I saw them "biting" eachother was for "transport purposes". What I mean is majors would from time to time take with their jaws smaller workers and carry them around, then leaving them in the desired place.

it could have been that type of behavior sometime the minors get spooked and it looks like a little fight until everyone on the same page?
1x Lasius Niger - early forging stage - 60-100 workers
1x Messor Barbarus - founding stage - <20 workers
1x Camponotus Turkestanus - claustral stage - 1 nanitic + brood
1x Odontoponera Transversa - semi-claustral stage - no eggs

Maybe my son bothered them while I was at work. He said he did nothing but his sister mentioned something about him disturbing them but,, don't know if she was kidding.

Yeah, thinking about it, Messor is really sensitive towards vibrations. Whenever they feel some they go in panic mode.
Could that be another hypothesis?
