Hi, I went crazy and caught about a dozen Pogonomyrmex sp. queens and now their eggs are about to hatch. So my question is, what do I do next? I have a full AntsCanada setup ready, and I think im going to move them to the smaller box setup before placing them into their formicarium.
What do I feed my harvester ants when they hatch? Little drops of honey? Seeds? Insects? Any advice from anyone who has successfully raised this sp. would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have that type of ant, but It should be the same with most of them. Anyway, you should feed them both insects and honey, the honey gives the workers and the queen. The insects are fed to the queen to make more eggs and the larvi to help them grow. You shouldn't give them too much room for an outworld. And there should not be any dirt or if there is, it should be very shallow so they can't dig in it. Good luck with your new workers.
