Hi
We are due a colony of Weaver Ants and are wondering will they ever outgrow their housing?

They may and then you would have to connect more space.

It's not like the colony will tell the queen we've got enough ants at this point. They will keep expanding as long as there is sufficient food available.

quick bit of wiki info on weavers in general

"As the number of workers increases, more nests are constructed and colony productivity and growth increase significantly"

"The ant colony may have several nests in one tree, or the nests may be spread over several adjacent trees; colonies can reach up to half a million individuals.[2] In one instance, a colony occupied 151 nests distributed among twelve trees"
1x Lasius Niger - early forging stage - 60-100 workers
1x Messor Barbarus - founding stage - <20 workers
1x Camponotus Turkestanus - claustral stage - 1 nanitic + brood
1x Odontoponera Transversa - semi-claustral stage - no eggs
