Hey guys

My first workers are beginning to arrive:) I had one of C. Pennsylvanicus with one worker, but it sadly passed away. I now have 2 Novaeboracensis queens, one with 3 workers and quite a few more pupae close behind and the other with 2 workers and lots of larvae developing. Wondering if you guys have some tips for a newbie on how to care for them at this stage. Things like how often to feed protein vs. sugars and that. Also wondering if I should place their tube in an outworks for feeding or just feed them directly in the tube. All help is appreciated!

Do you have any idea on how they could have died?
Some don't develop right, I had one that was still alive, but a few of its legs didn't work. It's just part of nature.

has anybody had their camponotus ants eat one of their own workers? I've been watching a small group of 3 ants eat what looks like the remains of another ant but i cant be sure even when i use a macro lens to zoom in and check. am i going crazy?
I've never had that before, but i guess in a pinch... It's still protein.

I have just dug up a wild colony of unknown Camponotus species and I was wondering if I can feed them isopods.

I wouldn't see why not. Try giving it to them pre-crushed first to not freak them out.
