I just want to ask if its okay to put cotton in the disc shape hydration chamber under the ant tower
yay for ants!

I would just break it up in small pieces.
Keep:
3 camponotus pennsylvanicus Q (one with 7-10 workers)
2 formica subsericea Q
2 monomorium pharaonis Q

I think you misunderstood? The space is disk-shape, not the cotton he wants to put in? And yes that would be fine.
