Fungus in my formicarium containing Technomyrmex albipes. The ants are nesting insode a dead branch. Is there any way to prevent the fungus from growing.I'd like to keep using the wood as I'm studying the foraging behaviour of the said ants

You could try introducing spring tales to eat the fungus. I've seen someone do this successfully with a wood set up that had grown mold on it.

I would keep air flow going in the Formicaruim, such as have a fan on it. Just as long as the ant nest isn't in the wind since they like it nice a stale in their nest.
