Hi!
My colony of Messor Barbarus is preparing now to hibernation. The are keeping some seeds in the nest and I do not know if keeping them during hibernation is OK.
Please help!

It's pretty odd to have the colony go into hibernation this late. But you should keep them at about 16-18 degrees. I don't know if they are doing fine inside the fridge or not. Sadly I probably won't be able to test this since I don't have an infinite amount of messor barbarus colonies at my disposial. :C

I could test it with some workers of an old colony but I cannot promis anything. :/
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
