Hello, I am now the proud caretaker of a colony of Solenopsis Invicta, or Red Imported Fire Ants and I just want anyone who knows allot about this species or has a colony of Fire Ants(an of this specific species of Fire Ant if anyone is as bold as I am) for any tips for their care. Thanks.

I've never worked with fire ants (since I live in Michigan) but I know some people who do. First these ants are escape artist so Use the best barriers like plain talcum powder or flu-on. also these ants grow really fast so expect about 20 workers or more in a month or two.also make sure you tubing is checked every so often because these ants can sometimes chew through it. '
