Hi!
I have hibernated my first ants - new Lasisus niger queens in 5 seperate test tubes and stored them in the fridge. Some of them layed eggs and some not because I caught them pretty late in October. I see that water level is slowly dropping in all test tubes and I dont think it will be enough until I take them out of hibernation on March.
Do You have any tips on how to fill water or change testube while ants are in hibernation? I know that I could connect old test tube with a new one but will it disrupt their hibernation?
Thanks for the help!

If the water level gets to low I do suggest adding another full test tube to their setup via tape with small breathing holes. It might annoy them a little but don't worry about it.
