Caught A Tetramorium Immigran Queen Late
I have a very important question that needs an answer, hopefully soon. I just caught a Tetramorium queen in front of my house today Oct. 6, 2018, way off their nuptial flight time, I managed to get her out of her wild colony which had another queen in it. My question is, will the queen that I have be ok with laying eggs (I have her in a dark and quiet place in my house) I know that the hibernation time starts in November. Any suggestions or advice?

The queen should be able to lay eggs since she was part of a colony before. I do not know as to how this will be affecting her in the coming hibernation period.

You will have to feed the queen as she is well past her founding stage.

It would be better if she had some of her workers with her. If you remember the site of the colony, go back and scoop up as many workers as you can.
