Pheidole ants

This is my first ant colony. This monsoon I collected a queen which I thought at that time was a tetramonium queen. Later I found out that it was actually a pheidole ant queen. Soon I created a ten gallon naturalistic setup and the ants moved in. My questions: is there anything special that these ants prefer and is 10 gallons with the deepest part of the setup ok for them
