Is it normal for the queen to be sitting away from her eggs and workers? Not that far but before she was usually sat on or over the eggs but now she seems to like sitting away from them

She may just like it in that particular spot right now. How long as she been over there? Could be temperature related or light. Unknown without more information

She seems to come and go with that place. She’s in a test tube setup. I did sort out a new tube with fresh water but noticed today that I’d stupidly had it at an angle where the connecting tubing was pinched haha.

She’s in a cupboard in the dark 99% of the time. Such a nervous hobby keeping ants and not knowing if they’re okay!
