I cannot find much on them in terms of care and one of my 2 red queen's is most certainly not a Rubra, me and a friend after close (inexperienced) observation and a heck load of images for still angled shots we believe my slightly smaller queen might just be Myrmica ruginodis.
Can someone tell me if all Myrmica are semi clostrual and is there different care or rules I need to take I to consideration for this species?
If u want to see her I have a topic in the ID centre part of the forum that have a link to the Google drive with the pics. The one questioning 2 Myrmica queen's
Myrmica ruginodis care??

Myrmica ruginodis care??
Research is important before during and even after you have established a colony. There is always time to learn and to listen to others experiences. Live by this and your ants will thrive. Fail to do so and your experience may be brief.

This link contains anecdotal information, so its not very scientific and potentially unreliable.
but this is someones experience one nutritional preference of each species (or in this genus, im sure because he couldnt identify it further since you need a microscope).

Oooo that is helpful alright and I think it is safe to say all Myrmica are semi claustral?
