I recently bought a single Pheidole Queen with eggs, and I have done plenty of research, however I was just wondering, since Pheidole are a multi-queen species and will adopt introduced queens into their colony correct? so would a single queen, adopt minor and major workers as well as eggs from another colony, into its own colony?
Thank you for all the help

But an established colony will adopt queens without issue?

Re: Pheidole Sp. joining colonies?
Not realy no it all depends on the pheidole sp. they might accept queens when there is only a couple of workers, an extablished colony whith a lot of workers would probably not accept any queens!
However they do accept eggs larvae and pupae from the same sp.

Re: Pheidole Sp. joining colonies?
so if they dont really accept new queens too much, how do Pheidole become multi-queen colonies?

Re: Pheidole Sp. joining colonies?
They usualy join all queens during founding stages before they even start laying eggs!
Thats the safest way to get a multi queened colony
