Question
I was just wondering, since I've found two ant that I believe are from the same species, if I put a male ant and a queen in a container is there a chance that they will mate? Since you can never be sure that the queen you have was mated this could remedy that problem no?

Re: Question
Ants only mate in flight, at a certain time, whilst other colonies are flying, and certain pheremones have to be in the air.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
