Re: brood boosting
I've tried this, although it was giving lasius eggs to tetramorium. Failed. My Tetramorium completely ignored the lasius eggs and just let the rot. Are you feeding your tetramorium? If she has workers then they should have access to an outworld with food in it. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about them not growing fast enough. Tetramorium grows pretty quickly.

consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Re: brood boosting
Use a one inch section of drinking straw to wedge between the exit cotton and the side of the tube. This acts as a cozy tunnel. Then place the whole thing in an outworld with a barrier. Provide them with both protein and sugar. They are probably really need it at this point.

It's never recommenced to mix and match brood from different ant genera.cheetawolf wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:50 pmmy tetramorium immigrans queen has 3 workers 2 larva and no eggs, can i take some eggs from my lasius niger queen who has plenty? is it safe, ive never done it before
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
