Why did the queen die
My camponotus queen ant died mysteriously. She left the nest and into the outworld and then she started dying. She eventually died... I think. but the next day her body MOVED back into another nesting space. But she still doesn't move.

Did anything change with the nest recently? Her workers probably dragged her body back into the nest.AntsAntsAnts wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 6:19 amMy camponotus queen ant died mysteriously. Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

Re: Why did the queen die
Did you catch her from a nuptial flight or from an established nest? How old was she? Did you feed something different to them?

camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Need more queens but mom won't allow it

I always fed the colony the same thing. I have no idea how old she was but she had 5 workers. Two died of age.Antloverhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 9:30 amDid you catch her from a nuptial flight or from an established nest? How old was she? Did you feed something different to them?
