Wondering what is normal queen behaviours?
Hello, I’ve been catching a bunch of queens over the past few days some with wings still attached and others not I believe all of them to be Iridomyrmex bicknelli. None of them have laid eggs yet but they just seem to sit around in the test tube, moving and cleaning themselves occasionally but other than that not very much. I heard you can move them into a warmer area to promote egg laying but they were freaking out when I checked on them they don’t seem to like humidity and then I put them in a cooler room atleast 18 degrees c or so and they calmed down. Was just wondering if this is normal behaviour?
