Hey guys,
I know some of you will tell me not to or to just give them away or something. However, I have to euthanize my sugar band ant colony due to a private reason, considering I can't release them nor sell them as I need the equipment. I have a new meat ant colony with 3 workers and alot of brood but I'm wondering what would be the most humane way to euthanize them without rendering the equipment unusable?

The most humane way would be to let them die of natural causes.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

If you cannot keep the first colony, why have a new one? If the first is getting out of hand, you will only have the same problem later on with the new colony.

You could also put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
