I recently caught these two and I dont know what I should do I currently have two dirt outworlds and that's it should I do something different, should I rip it all out for some wood? Also how much humidity should they have I live in colorado and it can be pretty wet or pretty dry, are the polygenous so I can mix them together? Are they polymorphic I would assume so because they are carpenter ants. I'm just super confused if anyone could help I'd be grateful.

How long are they? They look a little like Tetramorium to me. Tetramorium queens usually range from 7mm to 9mm. I would just put them in a test tube setup and put them in a dark, warm place for a week or so before disturbing them again to check on them. You can also wrap something like a sticky note around them and tape it so it stays. This also puts them in the dark.
