Queen Carpenter ants in NC
Hello recently there have been a wild colony of black carpenter ants moving into my bathroom in a crack above the wall. They are targeting water, cat food, and I started giving them a little honey.. Well now I've found a few winged queens walking around in my bathroom, do you think they are mated looking for a spot to start their colony or are they most likely virgin queens?

I agree. I would think that it’s a little early for Camponotus to fly.
