Moving ants

I am trying to move my tetramorium erraticum colony to a new test tube through an outworld. What I did was to leave the old test tube exposed to light and the new to dark. After doing that a day has passed and they are not willing to move, even though they have no dark in the test tube.
What should I do??
Is it normal??

They usually take quite a while, although the travel space of the outworld is probably discouraging them. I suggest connecting the tubes directly with a bit of tape (poke little air holes in the tape so they can breathe)
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
