Or… well, if it is polygynos this is normal(Believe me I have done expierments with Invicta), but if it is a monogynos species, they are tearing her apart(Happend once to a wild trap jaw ant queen I found… she was being torn apart)AntsAntsAnts wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 5:35 amno, they do that if they want the queen to move somewhere

Yes but I do not think the queen would do that unless she thinks the colony is getting too rebelliousSolenopsisKeeper wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 9:20 pmThat would be devastating

The queen that you introduce in a small colony that is a polygynos species, like maybe Odontomachus(some species are polygynos(AntsAntsAnts wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 2:27 amYes but I do not think the queen would do that unless she thinks the colony is getting too rebellious

you shouldn't try colony merging unless you know it is polygynos for sureSolenopsisKeeper wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:53 amThe queen that you introduce in a small colony that is a polygynos species, like maybe Odontomachus(some species are polygynos(AntsAntsAnts wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 2:27 amYes but I do not think the queen would do that unless she thinks the colony is getting too rebellious
