How to Connect AC Tubing to Hybrid Nest?

Hi All!

We are new to the AntsCanada community. We ordered a tetramorium Hybrid nest along with an outworld. Tubing and various fittings were included. We've figured out how to connect the AC tubing to the outworld, but we cannot figure out how to connect the tubing into the hybrid nest entrances. The small diameter tubing is too big to fit in the entrance holes. It seems there should be an attachment piece that connects tubing to the nest but none came in the shipment. And we can't find any online instructions or tutorials on how this is done.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated as we have a queen and her colony on the way!

Best,
Molly

Try this: Moisten the tube in warm water to make it softer, then attempt to squeeze the tubing into the hole. If this doesn't work I don't know what else you could do

The four entrances/exits on the Hybrid Nests V2 have 3 sized openings. The largest of the three is where test tubes fit. The next opening inside the outer hole is where the large poly tubing fits and the last inner hole is where the small poly tubing fits. The poly tubing holes are meant to be a tight fit to avoid disconnects. You may need to twist it back and forth a little to get it to go in.
