I was wondering, can the AntsCanada hybrid nest provide a suitable nest for Odontomachus, as they cannot climb smooth surfaces…?

Not sure though, I never used one before. I think the best nest for trap jaw ants AntsCanada has are the AC ant towers.

So the best 100% visibility option would be Ausants ytong nest? Honestly, Aus ant nest have better quality, but they take forever to get to America. It has been one month from them, still waiting on customs in San Francisco.

I guess so, he houses his trap jaw ants in a ytong nest too.

Maybe you need to call the customs office in San Francisco to know why it's held for so long. I remember that I had to once send them details about what's inside and the day after it was released and I had to pay my customs fee.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Unfortunately, people are getting paid more to not work than to work so not as many people are working as before. It has only been there for a week.

You can just ant sand in the hybrid nest. I did that and it really worked.
