Lasius ants too big for lasius nest

Hi,

I have the lasius hybrid nest and just read somewhere that it is not suitable if your queen or worker is bigger than 4mm in length or girth. Is this true??

Seeing as the lasius queens I have measure 12mm and the average lasius queen is 6-9mm I'm wondering how this makes sense.

Have I wasted my money an a " Lasius nest" when my Lasius won't fit??
2x iridomyrmex purpureus
1x rhytydoponera metallica
1x camponotus consibrinis
1x myrmecia pyriformis
1x iridomyrmex bickneli
2x pheidole sp

No you have not wasted your money, they should be fine.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

I agree, you will be fine. I have a 300+ lasius colony and the queen's gaster was massive this year with eggs. Plenty of space for her, the workers and brood, I do have them attached to a couple other nests as well due to the size of the colony.
