Hybrid nest initial setup question

Hello everyone.
Just got my hybrid nest mini and I have a couple questions someone may be able to answer. Before I set it up for the first time do I need to wash the nest? For example, using a mild soap to remove any kind of mold release or chemical residue? Or is it recommended to not wash the nest so as not to form scratches that can harbor bacterial growth or remove any special coatings? And finally when I do need to clean the nest is it safe to use a "dish soap" on the nest material or should I use a less harsh cleaner like baby shampoo?
