Rehousing an established colony.

Hello, I was hoping somebody could shed some light on a question I have. I’ve see videos of relocating an ant colony plenty of times, but not one where they are in a permanent setup like a planted vivarium. If you need to move or they must be removed from the space what is the safest way to do it?
Thank you for your time.

What are you trying to move them to?

If the ants are in a location dominated by soil you can move them out by attempting to dehydrate the soil and then attaching a formicarium and Outworld to the setup. The ants will move into the formicarium as it will have a better hydration medium for The Brood.
