My Lasius Nigers have taken a few days to about 2 weeks to start laying eggs. Some haven't laid yet. I will keep them through hibernation even if they haven't laid and hope they start laying in the spring.

Lasius Niger will lay eggs, and develop their first workers before hibernation. Unlike Lasius neoniger.

Actually, many lasius lay eggs before hibernating. Lasius Noeniger, however, wait until after hibernating to lay eggs. Lasius Niger lay eggs before hibernation.
