Crematogaster colony will not move out of wood!

I found a Crematogaster colony with alates and brood. They live in a small log and I placed them in an open ant farm because the log is to long to fit inside with the lid on. I have to keep them outside for the time being and there is a larger invasive colony were they are that sometimes gets a little close my colony. My question is how do I get this colony to move into the ant farm before the other colony raids them. I have already tried cutting the wood and placing food in the ant farm.

You could heat the ant farm.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
