Hi AC Family. Brand new to keeping ants. (dont actually have any yet) Not my first time keeping various insects and exotics tho. Im in eastern Pennsylvania. I'm really struggling finding a queen. Can anyone suggest the best time of day to go? Ive been going to a walking trail in the woods very close to a lake. But have had no luck. I appreciate any guidance. Thank you

The warmer the better. Try flipping up rocks, you might find a queen still in the founding stage.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Thank you.. Did this work? I know the quality isnt great. Not sure if you can tell the species but can you confirm I have queens? They were in little dug out holes in a rotting log. Not other ants anywhere no eggs or anything yet

It says 404 error. You copied the link for sharing not the one from the browser right? I should be able to identify them.
