When to move a young colony from test tube to formicarium

Hi there.
I am new to ant keeping. I will be purchasing a Crematogaster colony from a local GAN farmer. The colony is 1 queen and 7 workers. The colony is only 1 year old. Can I move them into the formicarium now or should they stay in the test tube? In general how established (old) and large should a colony be before moving them from a test tube into a formicarium?

Thanks

I would wait until they have at least 15 workers. But you probably could move them into a Tar Heel Ants Mini Hearth at this stage.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
