Is there any more information you can share with me? Like another really good start a colony because my mom does not want carpenter ants in the house.
Lasius neoniger would be a good beginner species too.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

If your mom is worried try adding more barriers

You should look into more nests on different websites, (AntsCanada is not the only site that does ant related stuff)

Show you mom the YouTube vid and also show her how antkeepers keep seals tight, I would bet that AntsCanada has a video on it, there is also a video he did for the parents, .
I hope that helps! 8-)
Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?

You can email me about ants at Tucker.reynolds13@gmail.com

Don't buy his plugs though, small ants can get through them. Just use cotton balls.
