How often do my ants need protein?
Like a constant source or 1 day after they finish the previous?
No, for a small colony maybe once every one or two weeks.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?

They're probably not hungry anymore. They're down to one worker right? If so, they will eat much less.

Just check in on the ants and the queen + worker were out, I put a new water test tube in and the queen loved to but the worker is still panicking at the edge of the setup.
What now?

You could try shinning a light on the old test tube.

Hi there.
I am new to ant keeping. I will be purchasing a Crematogaster colony from a GAN farmer. The colony is 1 queen and 7 workers. The colony is only 2 years old. Can I move them into the formicarium now or should they stay in the test tube? In general how established (old) and large should a colony be before moving them from a test tube into a formicarium?

Thanks
DuckyNoob
